The latest issue of Connect, the Mulberry Schools Trust newsletter, is out now!

On the cover and back page of issue #13, our new primary Mulberry Wood Wharf proudly takes centre stage. It has been wonderful to see our primary school children partaking in so many fun and engaging activities.

We have enjoyed reliving the remarkable achievements of some of our Mulberry STEM Academy students at the Greenpower International Finals at the iconic Goodwood race track in October. See page 2. Our partnership work continues to make a positive impact across schools and organisations beyond the Trust. The Mulberry Schools Foundation’s website is now live and we are accepting online donations. See page 3. As always, each Mulberry school brings something fresh and different to the table and this issue is no exception! Highlights of their work can be found within pages 4-12. We hope you find this latest collection of news stories inspiring and engaging, as we do. Happy reading!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS ~ THE International Champions!!!

Mulberry Stepney Green School won the Greenpower Goodwood International Final on Sunday 9th October 2022. The Yr13 STEM pupils performed phenomenally on the day, displaying great and an indominable spirit. All their hard work, dedication and tireless effort paid off in the end; racing 30 other schools from across the globe (the furthest school travelled from Brazil!) who also qualified for the final heat for a fantastic conclusion to the 2022 season. I think you will agree that this cohort got the win they deserved, and we couldn’t be prouder of them – the shining beacon of Mulberry Stepney Green!

A huge congratulations also to Mulberry Academy Shoreditch for achieving 2nd place!

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The Mulberry Schools Trust is deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday 8th September 2022. Her Majesty was the longest-reigning British monarch, who meant so much to us here at Mulberry and so many people in the United Kingdom and right around the world. Many will remember Her Majesty for her warmth and humour and she will be greatly missed.

Our deepest condolences are with His Majesty King Charles III and the whole of the Royal Family. We know many families will be greatly affected by this news and Mulberry stands with the nation in this period of mourning.

Our schools will be marking this moment in their own ways, led by their Headteachers. This type of news can affect how we feel and we will ensure all our students and members of staff are well supported.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was one of the very great women of our time and her achievements as a leader and figurehead are remarkable. We will miss her presence in our national life very much.
