Mulberry Schools Trust releases its Going Places destinations publication for 2023

The Mulberry Schools Trust is proud to announce the release of its Going Places destinations publication for 2023. This brochure showcases the accomplishments of our Year 13 students and highlights their dedication and commitment throughout their educational journey.

An impressive 75 percent of the Year 13 students within the Mulberry Schools Trust have secured a place at university, while others have chosen to further their studies, pursue degree apprenticeships, or enter the professional world of work. This remarkable achievement reflects the hard work and determination of the students and the guidance provided by the trust.

The future looks bright for these ambitious young adults as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

We also extend our gratitude to our dedicated team of teaching and support staff across all of our schools and acknowledge their inspiration, support and advocacy for the students, encouraging them to be ambitious and focused on their goals.

Access the publication below to read highlights from each school and see the comprehensive list of notable destinations and courses at the beginning and end of the publication.

Mulberry STEM Academy Graduation!

Our Year 11 and 13 Mulberry STEM Academy class of 2023 had an amazing afternoon full of celebration and splendour at the Mulberry STEM Academy Graduation ceremony on Friday 3rd March. The ceremony took place at Mulberry UTC and was kindly organised by the Mulberry Schools Trust.

Our students were presented with their graduation certificates and goody bags by the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 (MGP) team. Alongside the graduation award, our students won awards from many other categories. We’re extremely proud of Hibaaq and Ishraq for being only 2 out of more than 50 STEM graduates to receive the Mulberry STEM Academy. This award was given to a total of 5 STEM graduates for completing the STEM programme whilst demonstrating and leading with values such as passion, respect, innovation, determination and excellence. We’re also equally proud of Anas, Shah and Nabeel for receiving the Mulberry STEM Academy Excellence Awards. The excellence awards were awarded to a total of 10 students from across the Mulberry Trust for completing the STEM project to the highest standard and best of their abilities.

Our Year 13 STEM team (aptly named Team Storm after their internationally winning F24+ car), were awarded the Best Team Award – huge congratulations to the whole team!  And of course, not forgetting our Year 11 STEM team (their car was named Starlight) who also graduated and received goody bags from MGP at the event – well done to all!

There were many familiar and important faces in attendance, including the CEO of Mulberry Schools Trust, Dr. Vanessa Ogden as well as SLT members from across the Mulberry Schools Trust. We would like to thank Ms El-Messoudi; Ms Gill (Head of Year 13); Mr Bisran (Green Power Lead); Mr Jessop (Deputy Headteacher); Mr Z. Chowdhury (Deputy Headteacher); and Mr Bhutta (Headteacher) for joining in the celebrations with our proud students. A special thank you goes to Dr. Mundy and Ms Montgomerie for organising such a beautiful and remarkable ceremony for all the STEM graduates. The most unforgettable and amazing part of the afternoon for our STEM Academy cohort was the attendance by the MGP accompanied by the Mercedes W14 F1 car, which took centre stage where our students received their graduation awards by MGP CPO Mr. Paul Mills. Our students were also treated to a personal congratulatory video message by none other than 7-time F1 Champion Sir Lewis Hamilton, and MGP CEO Toto Wolff!

Whilst we congratulate and bid farewell to our STEM Academy class of 2023, we must now look forward to the new year and getting excited to see what the new season has in store for us. Our Year 10 and Year 12 Mulberry STEM Academy team has been selected, and the Greenpower project of 2024 has officially commenced!

As 2023’s cohort hands over the torch, our new Greenpower 2024 team are excited for the upcoming challenges and races. Watch this space for the many upcoming activities and adventures this year’s STEM team will take part in.

We wish our STEM 2023 scholars all the very best of luck for the future and hope that they will stay in touch with us as part of the Mulberry STEM Academy Alumni.
