Year10 & Year12 ADT Students Victoria & Albert Museum trip
On Thursday 3rd October we took 27 3D Design students to the Victoria and Albert Museum to take part in a design workshop. The artefacts, posters, furniture and products we saw inspired a series of placard designs based on a personal theme of a ‘Design for Change’.
Students explored how designers communicate bold messages using visual imagery, colour and a slogan. They produced mini placards highlighting an issue that they thought was important to them.
A student in Y12 said “The design collection in the gallery was really innovative and it was interesting to see examples of architectural models of iconic buildings”.
We are very grateful to the Jack Petchey Foundation who made the day possible. The students were very well behaved and engaged in a creative day out.
